CIEMD is an organization that brings together the parties to a contract , the actors in a dispute, and connects other organizations working in ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms) and justice, along with arbitration centers and authorities.
We are allies of the parties , guiding the sensitive art of mediation and agreement-building with the strength of mutual trust, efficient procedures, and the protection of the strictest legal certainty.
We promote institutional strengthening and continuity with business protocols, as opposed to paths marked by improvisation or lack of experience, which often turn disputes into costly and lengthy litigation.

FOUNDERS
Fernando Carrillo Flórez
A lawyer and economist from the Pontifical Javeriana University of Bogotá, where he graduated with honors, he holds a Master's degree in Law and Public Finance from Harvard University and a Master's degree in Administration and Public Policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at the same university.
He was the promoter of the Seventh Ballot Student Movement, which made possible the convening of the National Constituent Assembly in 1991, of which he participated and served as President of the Justice Commission.
He has served as Attorney General, Minister of Justice, Minister of the Interior, Colombian Ambassador to Spain, Director of the Legal Agency for State Defense, and IDB representative in Paris and Brazil. He is currently First Vice President of the Prisa Group.
Ivan Dario Gomez Lee
Lawyer from the Externado de Colombia University. Specialist in Administrative Law. He earned his PhD summa cum laude with his thesis on legal security. He is an active expert in MASC (Association of Autonomous Communities), co-author of the book +MASC (More Rights, Less Litigation) with Fernando Carrillo Flórez (2023).
Active Founder of the International Center for Mediation and Agreements (CIMA). List A Arbitrator at the Arbitration and Conciliation Center of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce. Delegate Attorney for Administrative Conciliation 2017-2021. Associate Justice of the Constitutional Court. Leader of the IA research group at MASC, Universidad de los Andes. Co-author of the Spanish book From the Culture of Litigation to the Culture of Agreement (2024).
